This is a festive month, as we continue celebrating the Chinese New Year of Pig. We hope you have enjoyed the holidays and the moments shared with families and friends.
Moving along with our “Next Decade, Next Goal” spirit, we are launching a new service specifically designed to analyze air quality using 3D Airflow Analyst. Adding to our capabilities on modeling energy and computational fluid dynamics, we are now able to simulate large-scale air flow dynamics. This is particularly good for green building assessments that use BEAM (Building Environmental Assessment Method) and related planning applications. Airflow Analyst is a 3D CFD (Computed Fluid Dynamics) software running under ArcGIS Desktop as an extension, enabling simulation of wind flow over complex terrain and buildings with ease of use and an advanced algorithm. Airflow Analyst is a decision support tool or exploration tool for planners, designers, researchers, and managers who want to predict or manage wind flow in their project. This tool is not exclusively for fluid experts. You can simulate and visualize the wind flow based on a common geospatial database such as DEM and an extruded polygon feature class, which represent buildings. All processes for simulation such as mesh generation, solver execution, and result visualization, can be done by intuitive operations on the ArcGIS Desktop environment.
We are also very pleased to announce that we have been awarded with an 89-month contract as the Independent Environmental Checker (IEC) to cover the Expansion of Sha Tau Kok Sewage Treatment Works. Throughout the duration of the project, ANewR will be providing the services to Drainage Services Department (DSD) of the Hong Kong Government, as the IEC ensures that the project complies with all relevant environmental requirements. This is the sixth commission from DSD that we have received. Thus, further strengthening ANewR’s market position in the sewage treatment sector. An Agreement Signing Ceremony took place on 1 Feb 2019.
